🐾 Instructional Coach Appreciation Day 🐾
Today we want to recognize and thank Michanne Medlin, our K–12 Instructional Coach!
Mrs. Medlin does an outstanding job supporting teachers across all three of our school sites. She is especially valuable to our new teachers, providing mentoring, encouragement, resources, and guidance as they begin their careers at Commerce. At the same time, she continues to challenge and support our veteran teachers by sharing new ideas, instructional strategies, and innovative approaches they can use in their classrooms.
And she does all of that while still being in the classroom herself! Mrs. Medlin teaches three hours of middle school math each day and spends the remainder of her day working alongside and supporting teachers throughout the district.
Her willingness to teach, mentor, encourage, share, and help wherever needed makes a difference for our staff—and ultimately for our students.
Thank you, Mrs. Medlin, for everything you do for Commerce Public Schools! We are fortunate to have you on our team! 💙🐾

📢 Native American Parents & Families — We Need Your Input!
Commerce Public Schools is asking our Native American families to complete the JOM/Title VI Indian Education Needs Assessment if you have not already done so.
We have received great participation from our students, but only 26 parents/guardians have responded so far. We would really like to hear from more of our Native American parents and families.
Your feedback will directly help our JOM and Title VI Parent Committees identify priorities and plan educational supports, cultural activities, and other services for our Native American students.
The survey only takes a few minutes, and we will leave it open through Saturday, October 10.
📝 Complete the Needs Assessment:

Results will be reviewed at our JOM & Title VI Indian Education meetings on Wednesday, October 14, beginning at 10:00 AM at the Commerce Board of Education Conference Room.
If you have already completed the survey, thank you! Please do not complete it again.
We want our programs to reflect the needs and priorities of the students and families we serve. Your input matters!
